Understand Your Hormonal Health with a Simple, At-Home Blood Test
Hormonal imbalances can have a significant impact on your overall health and well-being, affecting everything from your mood and energy levels to fertility, weight, and more. Our Female Hormone Test provides a comprehensive analysis of key hormones that influence these vital areas, including Oestradiol, Progesterone, Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH), Luteinising Hormone (LH), Prolactin, Testosterone, Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG), and the Free Androgen Index (FAI).
What Does the Female Hormone Test Measure?
Oestradiol (E2): The primary estrogen hormone, crucial for regulating the menstrual cycle and fertility.
Progesterone: Helps regulate menstruation and plays a key role in pregnancy.
Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH): An important indicator of ovarian function and fertility potential.
Luteinising Hormone (LH): Works alongside FSH to control the menstrual cycle and stimulate ovulation.
Prolactin: Regulates milk production and plays a role in fertility.
Testosterone: While typically associated with men, women also produce testosterone, and high or low levels can affect mood, energy, and libido.
Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG): Binds to sex hormones, regulating their activity in the body.
Free Androgen Index (FAI): Indicates the balance of male and female hormones in the body, providing insight into potential hormonal imbalances
How Does the Test Work?
Our QuickDraw Premium Collection Kit makes the process of taking your blood sample simple, quick, and virtually painless. Unlike traditional finger-prick tests, the QuickDraw device uses cutting-edge technology to collect your blood sample from the upper arm comfortably, all within the privacy of your home.
Once your sample is collected, it is sent to a certified laboratory for analysis, and you’ll receive your results within 2-3 days. This allows you to take proactive steps based on your results, whether it’s adjusting your diet, managing stress, or seeking medical guidance.
WHY GET TESTED
Hormonal imbalances can significantly affect your fertility, mood, weight, energy levels, and overall health. Symptoms like irregular periods, weight gain or loss, mood swings, and fatigue may be signs that your hormones are out of balance. This test helps you identify the root causes of these issues, giving you valuable insights into your hormone levels.
It is important to note that the contraceptive pill may affect your results. If you stop taking the pill, we suggest waiting until your periods have resumed their normal cycle before taking this test. If you're not planning to become pregnant, please ensure you use an alternative form of contraception during this time.
For the most accurate results, we recommend taking the test two to five days after the start of your period, ideally on day three. If you're post-menopausal or just seeking a general check, you can take the test on any day.
Additionally, hormone replacement therapy (HRT) can affect your results. If you're using HRT, please avoid taking the sample from the finger used to apply hormone gels, patches, or pessaries in the last 28 days. For best results, use gloves when applying HRT treatments.
By taking this simple home test, you’ll have a better understanding of your hormone levels, enabling you to take proactive steps toward balancing your hormones and improving your overall health.
