About Dr Michael
For MUDr. Michael Nytra, a body that is merely "not hurting" is not the goal. The aim is a body that works, is strong and holds up. Sport and movement run through both his personal life and his clinical approach, and it shows: instead of generic advice, patients leave with a concrete plan.
After medical school at the First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University in Prague, Dr Nytra spent two years in the orthopaedic department of Karviná-Ráj Hospital in Orlová, completed the common trunk in orthopaedics and trauma surgery, and gained board certification in rehabilitation and physical medicine in 2021. Five years at Darkov Spa followed, and since 2024 practice at VERTEBRA SYSTEM. Further qualifications include musculoskeletal medicine and, since 2025, the Czech Medical Chamber licence to serve as head physician in rehabilitation medicine.
The consultations are rooted in medicine but built around real life: work, stress, lack of time and motivation that comes and goes. Together you set up a routine of movement, recovery, sleep and eating that survives an ordinary week.

FAQs
What should I do about lower back pain, and when should I see a doctor?
Most lower back pain settles within a few weeks if you keep moving sensibly. Dr Nytra assesses where the pain is likely coming from and sets up exercises and a routine to match. Leg weakness, numbness around the groin or loss of bladder control need emergency care straight away.
Can an online consultation help with neck pain?
Yes. Neck pain is often linked to desk work, stress and too little movement. Posture and range of motion can be assessed on video, followed by a short daily exercise programme and workstation changes.
How do I get moving again after an injury or operation?
A return to activity needs a clear plan: what is safe at each stage, how to add load gradually and how to tell when it is time for the next step. Dr Nytra builds that plan around your hospital reports and the surgeon's advice.
What is the difference between a rehabilitation doctor and a physiotherapist?
A rehabilitation doctor makes the diagnosis, interprets imaging such as X-ray and MRI, decides on treatment including medication and plans the rehabilitation. A physiotherapist then delivers the exercise and therapy. Dr Nytra is board-certified in rehabilitation and physical medicine.
Can I get an exercise plan for strength and fat loss?
Yes. The aim is a routine you can keep — movement, recovery, sleep and eating that fit a full working week. The plan starts from your health, so it stays safe after injuries or with long-term pain.
How does an online rehabilitation consultation work?
It is a video call — wear clothes you can move in and leave a little space around you. Have your reports and scans ready. Consultations are in Czech; manual therapy and treatments happen in person.
